About The ASCM Salary Survey and This Calculator
This salary calculator is based on a survey conducted by ASCM in 2021.
Sample Composition and Data Collection
The potential respondent list included the following populations:
- US-based ASCM members and non-member customers with an email transaction within the last 365 days who have a valid opted-in email address to ASCM communications (excluding those classified by ASCM as consultants, professors, students, or retired)
- Those who may have received the survey passed along to them
- ASCM or APICS website visits
- ASCM social media
Data was collected via an online survey from January 27, 2021 to February 8, 2021. The survey was closed for tabulation with 2,099 responses from the United States and worldwide, there was a total of 3,376 usable responses. A global summary can be found in a separate report. The margin of error for percentages based on usable responses is 2% plus or minus percentage points at the 95% confidence level. Percentages may not add to 100% for single-answer questions because of rounding or non-response.
To best represent the audience of interest, results were filtered to include only those who indicated they were employed in the supply chain field between October 15, 2019 and October 1, 2020. They also had to have indicated that they worked 35 or more hours in a typical week in their primary position in the supply chain field.

About This Calculator
This salary calculator includes data from all 2,099 respondents employed full time (35+ hrs/week) in the supply chain field as of October 15, 2019 and worked in the US a majority of the time.
